Terms and Conditions

Scope of Application

1.) For orders placed via this website, the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) in the version valid at the time of the order shall apply.

2.) The seller of all goods ordered via this website is Braun Publishing AG, Arenenbergstrasse 2, 8268 Salenstein.

3.) Orders placed by resellers, such as bookstores, are excluded from paras. 1 and 2; for such orders, the publisher’s distribution partners may act as the seller and their terms and conditions may apply.

Prices, Descriptions, Publication Dates

4.) Prices in Swiss francs (CHF) and euros (EUR) shown on this website include the statutory VAT applicable in the destination country.

5.) Prices in other currencies do not include any taxes applicable in the destination country.

6.) All prices, descriptions and publication dates are subject to change and error.

Import Costs

7.) Cross-border deliveries may incur additional costs such as customs duties, taxes and handling fees upon import. These vary depending on local regulations and the weight and value of the shipment.

8.) Customs clearance and taxation in the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

Conclusion and Fulfilment of Contract

9.) The purchase contract is concluded upon receipt of the order by e-mail by the publisher or upon receipt of the order confirmation by the customer. The publisher fulfils the contract when the goods are dispatched. The order confirmation also serves as proof of payment; no separate invoice is issued.

10.) Availability of ordered items is subject to confirmation. The publisher reserves the right to refuse orders without giving reasons.

Shipping, Delivery Times

11.) Goods are shipped appropriately packaged by post or parcel service at the customer’s risk.

12.) Delivery time is usually 2–5 working days within Europe and 5–30 working days outside Europe.

13.) No guarantee is given for adherence to delivery times.

Payment

14.) Orders are delivered against payment by invoice, credit card or PayPal.

Cancellation of Orders

15.) Orders may be cancelled at any time. Goods already delivered may be returned within 10 days of receipt at the customer’s expense and risk. A printout or copy of the order confirmation or delivery note must be enclosed.

16.) Returns must be sent to the sender address of the original delivery.

Defects, Incorrect Deliveries

17.) Defective or incorrectly delivered goods will be exchanged free of charge. The return must include the order confirmation or delivery note; the reason must be stated.

18.) Returns must be sent to the sender address of the original delivery.

19.) Refunds are made exclusively as credits to the used credit card or PayPal account.

20.) Costs incurred due to returns sent to an incorrect address may be deducted from the refund.

Undeliverable Shipments

21.) Costs arising from undeliverable shipments, such as due to incorrect address details, refusal of acceptance or failure to collect, may be deducted from any refund or charged upon re-delivery.

Applicable Law, Jurisdiction

22.) Contracts concluded via this website are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Salenstein, Switzerland.
