Art is constantly evolving, encouraging experimentation, and in today's digital age, leveraging artificial intelligence to create entirely new realities. Artists are using data as a means of expression as equal partners to explore new avenues, redefining the concept of art and revolutionizing the world of design. This book addresses the aesthetics and creativity of a new generation engaged in algorithm-supported vertical design.
The editors were able to engage the most relevant contemporary protagonists to present their most important works based on facts, aspects, and stories, and to provide insights into their creative processes. These range from the vision to the underlying code and challenges in the implementation concept to the finished work. On a theoretical level, the presented works from fields such as graphic design, 3D animation, real-time visualizations, robotics, and spatial installations are significantly enriched by interviews and texts from experts and insiders in the field.
"Because digital art is finally becoming the chronicler of a present in which technology has retreated into a sphere of abstraction that people only understand when something has gone wrong."
